Chief guest Mufti Khalid Ayyub Misbahi, addressing the audience, said that today we are going through a time when humanity seems to be dying and selfishness is becoming dominant. In such a situation, Ramadan offers an opportunity to overcome one's own shortcomings and follow the righteous path. During Ramadan, both religion and the world are improved. Contrary to their habits, the fasting person becomes completely obedient to Allah's commandments. They eat Sehri and Iftar on time. Enduring hunger and thirst while fasting to please Allah teaches Muslims patience. When a person is hungry and thirsty, their soul becomes dull and weak, protecting them from sin. They begin to enjoy worship. When worship is accepted in the court of Allah, the prayers of the devotees also begin to be answered. Fasting protects every part of the body, including the eyes, tongue, ears, and heart. Ramadan teaches people to practice goodness, so that even the eleven months pass in this way.
He said that the list of virtues of Ramadan is very long, but its basic lesson is that we all understand the pain that a large part of the world's population faces daily. Only when we ourselves feel hungry can we understand the hunger of the poor. Therefore, pray a lot during Ramadan. Recite the Holy Quran. Distribute the Zakat and Sadaqah money to the deserving. Finally, prayers were offered for peace and security in the country by reciting Durood and Salam. Mufti-e-Shahar Akhtar Hussain Mannani presided over the function.
