To realize the commitment to environmental protection and a green India, a grand tree plantation program was organized in Padegaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), under the aegis of the Indian Journalists Association® Marathwada unit, as part of the Government of India's inspirational campaign "One Tree in the Name of Mother."
On this occasion, Marathwada State Organization Secretary Syed Anwar Ali Qadri and senior journalist Syed Zakir Hussain planted trees and gave the message of environmental protection to the society. The journalists present at the program also pledged to plant as many trees as possible and protect them.
On this occasion, State Organization Secretary Marathwada, Syed Anwar Ali Qadri, in his address, said, "Planting a tree is not just a service to nature, but also a way to lay the foundation for a secure future for generations to come. Today, the environment is facing a serious crisis due to increasing pollution, climate change, and decreasing forest cover. If every citizen plants and nurtures at least one tree a year, we can make the earth green again. The 'One Tree in the Name of Mother' campaign not only honors our mothers but also symbolizes our responsibility towards nature."
Senior journalist Syed Zakir Ahmed said, "Protecting the environment is not only the government's responsibility, but also the moral duty of every citizen. Trees provide us with oxygen, balance the rainfall cycle, help maintain groundwater levels, and are a habitat for many animals. Human life is unimaginable without trees. Therefore, we should not limit ourselves to just planting trees, but also protect them by regularly caring for them until they become trees."
Speakers said that in today's times, the most effective way to protect against increasing heat, pollution, and natural disasters is to plant more trees. Every citizen should plant trees in their homes, schools, offices, farms, and public places, and inspire others to do the same.
Syed Mahmood, Syed Ghaffar, Sheikh Sohail, Bablu Sheikh, Dinesh Yeldi, Arif Syed, Zuber Syed, and Aditi were present at the event.
