Sumayya Educational and Welfare Trust awarded scholarships to 60 students.
Education and values are the key to a bright future.
Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
With the aim of promoting education, providing opportunities for advancement to children from economically disadvantaged families, and strengthening the spirit of service, cooperation, and humanity in society, Sumayya Educational and Welfare Trust, Gorakhpur, in collaboration with IMRC, organized a scholarship distribution program. The program was held in the hall of Children's Future Academy, Ilahibagh. A total of 60 students, from grade six to graduation, were awarded scholarships. The program included detailed discussions on important topics such as education, social responsibility, moral values, and helping the needy.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The atmosphere of the program was filled with spirituality, harmony, and positive thoughts. The guests present described education as the strongest foundation for society's progress and emphasized helping needy students as an important social responsibility.
The program was chaired by Kazi Kalimul Haq, Patron of Purvanchal Dastak, and conducted by Dr. M. Azam Beg, Chairman of the Sumayya Educational and Welfare Trust. The program praised the Trust's initiatives to promote education, social service, and human values.
Addressing the program, Kazi Kalimul Haq, who was presiding, said that education is the fundamental foundation for any society's progress, awareness, and self-reliance. A society can progress only when its children are educated and have equal opportunities to hone their talents. No child's education should be hampered due to financial difficulties. Initiatives like scholarships instill confidence in students and inspire them to continue pursuing their goals. He emphasized that children should not limit themselves to obtaining degrees; instead, they should contribute to the development of their families, society, and the country through their knowledge, talent, and good conduct. Supporting the education of needy children is truly strengthening the future of future generations.
Highlighting the importance of education, Hafiz Farooq Zeeshan provided valuable information to children regarding achieving success in religion and the world. He stated that education empowers individuals to distinguish between right and wrong. Through knowledge, individuals can improve their lives and understand their responsibilities to society. He encouraged students to study regularly, utilize their time wisely, respect their parents and teachers, and pursue their goals with discipline. He emphasized that children should receive an education that enhances their personality, instills humanity within them, and makes them responsible citizens. Both religious teachings and worldly knowledge guide individuals toward a better life. He also appealed to parents to pay special attention to their children's education, understand their problems, and encourage them to progress.
In his address, Dr. Rizwanul Haq Falahi underscored the deep connection between education and values. He said that merely acquiring an education is not enough to make a person a good person; instead, one must also possess good values, humility, honesty, discipline, and respect for others. He stated that true education is one that not only makes a person knowledgeable but also sensitive, responsible, and virtuous. If a person, even after receiving higher education, lacks respect and empathy for others, the purpose of their education remains incomplete. He appealed to students to respect their parents, teachers, elders, and all members of society. Help the needy, support truth, and strive to bring positive change in society through their behavior. He said that incorporating values along with education creates a better family, a civilized society, and a strong nation.
During the program, scholarships were awarded to 60 students from grades six through graduation. The initiative aims to support students in continuing their studies and reduce the risk of students missing out due to financial difficulties.
Scholarships are not just financial assistance for students, but also an incentive to realize their dreams. They inspire children to work hard, achieve better results, and move forward in life. The program emphasized that influential members of society, educational institutions, and social organizations should work together to identify students who need assistance in their studies. Providing timely assistance to needy children is a significant step towards strengthening social equality and the right to education.
Sumayya Educational and Welfare Trust contributes to various social activities, including education, to support the needy and vulnerable sections of society.
